WASHINGTON — Robots made a “charming” appearance at the Beijing International Airport this weekend.
The robot-based flight attendants were accompanied by an elderly woman and two children who sat in the front row.
One of the passengers was wearing a yellow vest, while the other was wearing white, according to a press release from the Chinese Aviation Industry Association.
The Chinese Airports Authority said that the robots are part of a pilot project and are used to monitor passengers’ condition and to monitor aircraft operations.
They are expected to be installed at the airport by the end of next year, according the FAA.
